Asia Private Equity Club (APECS)

ABOUT US
The Asia Private Equity Club @ SMU (APECS) is an intra-varsity club that aspires to bridge the gap between undergraduates and industry professionals in the Private Equity and Venture Capital space.
APECS is open to anyone interested in the private markets, regardless of your background, as long as you are interested and committed to learning. We conduct fundamental training on technical skills starting from the basics, to equip you with the knowledge required to thrive in the VC and PE industry.

SMU Artificial Intelligence

SMUAI aims to be a platform for all students to be exposed to various AI topics through our internal events, regardless of their level of expertise.
By joining SMUAI, members will gain access to events such as technical workshops to introduce the necessary AI skills to those who are new to AI. At the same time, SMUAI also provides members well-versed in AI with opportunities to compete in our competitive hackathon team — SMUAI Avenirs.

SMU Blockchain Club

SMU Blockchain Club was founded in 2018 with the emphasis on making blockchain easily understandable and accessible to SMU students. We strive to provide any university student a welcoming community for quality and accessible blockchain education, and our ultimate goal is to nurture our club members as outstanding talent in contributing back to the blockchain ecosystem worldwide.
We conduct regularly events with prominent blockchain companies in Singapore, nurture blockchain developers through our SMUB Developer Department, and create high-quality investment analyst reports through our SMUB Research Department.

SMU Civil Defence Lionhearter Chapter

ABOUT US
The Civil Defence Lionhearters are SCDF's youth volunteers and Emergency Preparedness (EP) ambassadors.
As a Civil Defence Lionhearter, you will be trained in emergency preparedness skills such as First Aid, CPR+AED and firefighting skills so that you can be a Community First Responder. You will provide immediate assistance for both on-campus and off-campus emergencies, helping to save lives and minimise property damage before the SCDF arrives.
As an EP ambassador, you'll impart your knowledge and lifesaving skills alongside SCDF officers to members of the public during various community outreach events such as Community Resilience Days and engagement programmes.
You can also look forward to meeting fellow Civil Defence Lionhearters from other Universities and Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) Chapters as well as SCDF officers through events such as the Lionhearters Forum, where you will forge a close friendship with the wider CDLH family.

SMU FinLIT Programme

ABOUT US
The SMU Financial Literacy, Inclusion & Technology Club (SMU FinLIT) program is a society with a public-spirited mission. It was founded in 2014 as the Citi Foundation-SMU Financial Literacy for Young Adults Club by Citi Singapore and Singapore Management University (SMU), with the support of the Citi Foundation. Our goal is to promote financial literacy and inclusion, helping our community become more aware of financial matters and technology to make well-informed economic decisions regarding saving, investing, borrowing, and more.
Our flagship initiatives include the Train-The-Trainers (TTT) programme & Peer-to-Peer (P2P) workshops - aim to equip students with crucial financial literacy knowledge and classroom management skills. Throughout the programme, students from different Institutes of Higher Learning are taught by domain experts from the SMU faculty, industry practitioners, and government agencies. Upon completing their training, these students are awarded a Certificate of Completion. They would form our trainer representatives to support outreach events to share the financial knowledge and skills they have learnt to their fellow peers in our Peer-to-Peer workshop series.

SMU Purple

ABOUT US
We are a group of students dedicated to driving disability awareness and promoting inclusivity for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in SMU. We collaborate closely with the Disability Support Services office (DSS, under Mrs Wong Kwok Leong Student Wellness Centre) in our initiatives and projects.
Our name “SMU Purple” is inspired by the fact that the colour purple has increasingly been associated with disability awareness and inclusion. We believe that efforts to make our campus accessible should extend into both an individual’s academic experience and student life.
