Prof Lau Hoong Chuin was invited to give the talk with the topic "From Data to Decisions in Smart Policing" during the 1st INTERPOL Smart Cities and Internet of Things (IoT) Expert Meeting held in Singapore on 23 January 2019.

In this talk, Prof Lau was discussed about analytics for smart policing - in preventing and responding to crimes, Data-to-Decision framework that combines data analytics, machine learning and optimization to solve complex operational problems and how spatial-temporal data can be used to derive predictive models that will in turn be used to derive optimal deployment plans and schedules.
