We have packed together some exciting welcome programmes to help you accomplish a smooth transition into university life. You are encouraged to participate in these programmes to make the most of your learning journey here at SMU.

Welcome Programmes

SMU Buddy Programme

Available from January 2022

Begin your SMU journey by connecting with an SMU senior to find out what it's like to be a student at SMU. Approach your senior buddy to acquire information on the campus, facilities and support available, and life in Singapore!

Organised by SMU International Connections (ICON), the Buddy Programme aims to promote cultural sharing and understanding in the SMU community.

A well-received programme not to be missed with limited availability.

SMU Host Programme

Available from January 2022

Be part of our friendship and cultural exchange programme where you will be assigned to a gracious and hospitable SMU Alumni.

This friendship and cultural exchange programme aims to provide insights about life in Singapore through your host and widen your network of friends.

Note: Highly popular programme with limited availability. This programme does not include a home-stay.
